Hazelridge Skating Club

  • Synchronized skating or "synchro" is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of eight or more skaters
performing various group formations and maneuvers.  The objective is for the team to perform as one unit
executing circle, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison to the music while demonstrating quality edges,
power and flow.  Our synchro teams compete provincially and regionally.

Skaters wishing to participate in Synchro must attend evaluation sessions at the start of the season.

In addition to the base program costs, each synchro team member is required to purchase a costume, team jacket, scarf, and warm-up outfit for competitions. Team members are responsible for the cost of their own travel and accommodations for competitions. Team members will be billed a share of the costs of additional team expenses at the end of the season, such as coach travel cost, competition entry fees, ice and coaching costs for any additional practices.
